Shell

what is weighted
and what pins and
needles us
do our souls
seep through the construct
only untied from alveoli and
separate from sinew

Gormley raises
homo crustacea
like a prize
gourmet shrimp being
toothpicked
apart

maybe life is God
with a spoon
tapping hairlines into hardboiled
until the crack
dawns
