A Sobering Thought
My sweet wife has never liked whiskey
Or gin or the fruit of the vine;
When offered a drink at a party
She’ll smile and say "soda is fine."
With me it’s a whole different story:
A nip or a shot and all’s good,
And God knows I've often been guilty
Of having more fun than I should.
Yet my driving record is perfect
Despite all those nights at the bar,
While she can still manage cold sober
To go and teetotal the car.
