Just One More

There is a place in cyberspace
where you can lose an hour or four.
An endless stream of pics and vids
that somehow leaves you craving more.

There's crashing cars,
and golfing tips,
and how to grow the perfect lawn.
There's dancing dogs
and cats that sing,
bad dad jokes –
the list goes on.

Then there are pleas for urgent help:
“Should I stay or should I go?
My boyfriend is a narcissist –
do like and follow, let me know?”

And there are “genius” life hacks
to fix your sleep, your skin, your mind,
to optimise your working day,
to give back time you'll never find.

My house and garden are a mess.
I barely talk to my poor wife.
I've no time left to do my job –
these vids are eating up my life.

Do like.
